This blog I and maybe others will use as a kind of journal to share our experiences, daily happenings, things we are trying, thing that worked and those that did not, questions we are asking ourselves, ideas we are having, and other thoughts that emerge from our collective sub-space-vortex (referring to anything that is presently unknown or an imaginary large space & sometimes also to my dear friend Guilherme who created this meme).

You might wonder who is “we.” Right now that includes Antonio, a monk born to live in nature; Guilherme, a college dropout in search of a “zero” impact lifestyle; Mônica & Richard, an older couple seeking to grow their own organic foods; and me (Hans), a nomadic world traveler who wants to build a simple lifestyle with people who care about each other.

We presently live in the Atlantic Forest at an altitude of ~1100m approximately 130km inland from the coast of Espiríto Santo, a state of Brazil that is below the state of Bahia and above Rio de Janeiro.
